4 Week Program for $375

Quitting smoking may be the most important thing you can do for your health and happiness. Over 25 diseases are associated with cigarette smoking, including various cancers, respiratory illnesses, and stroke. If you have tried to quit before and failed, it is OK - now keep quitting! This is a battle you can win and acupuncture can help!

Acupuncture helps you quit by reducing your physical and emotional addiction to nicotine. Acupuncture reduces stress, anxiety, depression and irritability. It relaxes the mind and helps to eliminate cravings. Acupuncture also stimulates the nervous system which aids in detoxifying your body faster.

In addition to regular treatments, acupuncturists use acupuncture points in the ear that alleviate withdraw symptoms, suppress appetite, reduce cravings, and protect and strengthen the lungs, liver and other organs.

Four Week Program for $375

Work with experienced professionals to create a personalized plan to quit smoking which will include:

+Unlimited auricular treatments (recommended 3x per week)

+1 regular treatment per week (may be at same time as auricular; total of 4 treatments)

+1 herbal remedy per week (total of 4 weeks worth of herbs)

+Dietary and Lifestyle counseling

+Supplement and other integrative options (costs of supplements are additional)

Ideally, we ask that you refrain from smoking for at least 24 hours before beginning the program so that you begin the nicotine cessation from your bloodstream prior to your first acupuncture treatment. This will also strengthen your resolve to quit for good. We understand that not everyone can go "cold turkey", so will work with you on an individualized strategy.

Tips for Quitting

+Drink plenty of water, preferably room temperature with lemon.

+Exercise regularly. Even a quick walk outside will strengthen your will to quit.

+Identify and avoid smoking "triggers", these may be foods, places or even people!

+Eat regularly and healthfully.

+When you want to smoke, do something that stimulates your brain and/or body (jumping jacks, reciting a poem, etc.)for 3 minutes. This is how long a craving usually lasts.

+Avoid sugar. Sugar increases cravings and can increase mood swings.

+Exfoliate with a loofah in the shower - this increases circulation and cleanses the body.

+Treat yourself to a massage.
